Back when Kodachrome and Ektachrome prevailed, my photographic journey began. Like most, I snapped lots of photos of family members, scenic landscapes and vacation documentation. Once I started diving and instantly realized the awesome wonders of the underwater world, I felt compelled to capture it, to share this amazing experience with others. Along the way, I also came to understand the various challenges of successfully photographing underwater subjects.

After many winter vacations scuba diving, I was determined to extend my credentials and study to become a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) instructor. As it happens, my local dive shop was offering the extensive HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) certification program, which I took and loved. As a Certified HSA Instructor, I find the most rewarding aspect to be helping individuals of all levels of interest and physical ability realize their ultimate potential.
